Because of the Inflation Reduction Act, we’ve finally created protections for Medicare recipients who rely on expensive medications.
Democrats in the House and Senate worked with the White House to reduce prescription drug costs from multiple angles. Not only did we expand coverage, lower out-of-pocket caps, and update payment structures for patients on Medicare, but we also gutted Republicans’ age-old deal with pharmaceutical companies and we now have the power to negotiate and temper unruly price hikes.
Because when Democrats hold the House's majority, we can work in tandem with our Democratic Senate and White House to pass bills that protect everyday Americans.
