Dear Democrats, 

They say August is the hottest month of the year. And boy was that true. On top of the record high temperatures and heat advisories popping up all over the country, August was also a HOT and BUSY month for Broward Democrats! 

Here's what we did in August:

Hosted 42 voter engagement and phone bank events throughout Broward County with 82 individual volunteers...Thank you!!

Raised $15,000 at our Best in Broward event, celebrating our best volunteers and supporters. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Voter Engagement

Our Senior Caucus sent 173,708 texts to Dem voters encouraging them to register to vote-by-mail and got a 7.6% response rate which is phenomenally high! 

In order to increase our membership and support, we sent out 2,655 welcome emails to voters who registered as Democrats in 2023 with an invitation to get involved and a link to our Club and Caucus calendar, events, how to volunteer, and donate.

As of today, the Broward Supervisor of Elections reports that there are 79,365 voters signed up for vote-by-mail. Much of this is due to our efforts to help the Supervisor of Elections re-register 300,000 democrats for Vote-By-Mail.

We're making great progress towards reaching our goals, but we need additional volunteers and resources in order to reach more voters. Imagine what we could do with YOUR help.

The Broward Democrats are working daily to meaningfully connect with voters in a variety of ways across the county. 

We need your help in order to register 300,000 Democrats for vote-by-mail in time for the 2024 election. Here's what we need: 

Sign up to volunteer for a preplanned event on Mobilize. We have a lot of different events going on all over the county. Check them out- we'd love for you to join us. 

Host a phone bank, voter engagement or postcard writing event. You can do this at your home, office, or a public place. Tell us what you want to do and we will help you organize, promote it and even help you recruit volunteers. You can make it a one time event or recurring.

Go to your local Club or Caucus meeting. Tell your friends and families about the Broward Democrats and how they can help. You can find the nearest meeting at bdpfl.us/events

And don't forget about our General Membership Meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. The location changes monthly, so please check our website for updates.
