Teach Virtue w/ this Introductory Lesson
Dear John,
How does our behavior impact our community? Does it matter? It turns out, it matters a lot! In fact, it is only through the actions of individual citizens that we ensure our communities and our government uphold our natural rights and are oriented towards a common purpose. Good civic habits, or virtues, like courage, humility, respect, and justice help maintain a healthy civil society.
Use this introductory lesson to investigate civic virtues with your students and why they matter.

Heroes & Villains curriculum. The curriculum contains 26 lessons that help students explore the virtues and vices exhibited by historical actors. It can be used as enrichment activities, in conjunction with your study of history, or as a stand-alone character education resource.

Join as BRI as we celebrate Constitution Day 2023 on September 15th from 11-2 ET on our YouTube channel! We will be speaking to pollsters, veterans, educators, and BRI staff members as we investigate how deliberation and individual actions shape our constitutional system.
