John — Lauren isn’t a fan of tooting her own horn, so we’re doing it for her.

Lauren was announced as the 2023 winner of the Congressional Management Foundation’s (CMF) Democracy Award for Constituent Service for going "above and beyond" to support constituent needs and actively represent the district while in Washington.

Lauren is the hardest working and most effective member of Congress our district has ever seen. She’s made history not once, but twice , as the youngest Black woman to be elected, and when she became the first Black woman elected to House Democratic leadership since Rep. Shirley Chisholm in over 50 years.

But she didn’t stop there. Lauren has shown time and again that she’s willing to roll up her sleeves and put in everything she’s got to make progress for working families.
