This morning, Politico featured my bill that would authorize state funds to be used to purchase and forgive medical debt in their article on states addressing the national crisis that is medical debt.

I get emails and phone calls from all across the state, even from people who are not my constituents, who say this is an important issue. This is an issue that affects too many families too often. As a physician and legislator, I'm committed to addressing the medical debt crisis in Pennsylvania, and I’m proud to say my legislation received bipartisan support in passing the State House.

I sponsored this bill because I had a patient that died from breast cancer that she delayed treating because she feared the expense. 

I’m working to create a Pennsylvania where that will not happen. But even this bipartisan solution is being held up by partisan politics. Can you chip in today to show you stand with me as I fight for a better Pennsylvania for all?
