Friends,
For decades, farmers and their needs have been overlooked by our leaders in Washington, despite being the backbone of communities across our district.
That’s why working on behalf of farmers and ensuring they have a seat at the table continues to be one of my top priorities in Congress.
As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, I have been working alongside my colleagues to advocate for young and beginning farmers to ensure they have the tools to thrive and feed our families for generations to come.
Last week, I attended the annual Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, which is one of the largest agricultural events in our nation, bringing out thousands of family farmers and industry leaders to showcase the newest farming innovations.
I was honored to host U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack at my Agriculture Advisory Council meeting at the Farm Progress Show to talk about how far we’ve come and look ahead to how we can continue investing in our farmers and communities.
I look forward to getting legislation like the 2023 Farm Bill across the finish line and bringing funding back to our district to support farmers, advance farming technology, and grow our rural economies.
But I can’t do this work alone. Friend, can you pitch in $5 today to fuel my work?
