This week marks a disgraceful milestone in recent history, friend.

Six years ago, the Trump administration announced its plan to repeal DACA, the program that allows undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children to get an education, work, and pursue their American dreams.

We're a nation of immigrants, friend, and despite the right-wing talking points, we know that there's enough wealth in our country for us ALL to prosper.

I know as well as anyone that our immigration system is broken. I was undocumented until I was sixteen years old — despite calling the United States home since before I was in kindergarten.

It's time to pass real immigration reform that recognizes the promise inherent in all of our people, and that provides a fair and accessible pathway to legal status and citizenship. Our communities are stronger when we're all safe, welcome, and given the opportunity to flourish.
