Today, Justice Democrats-endorsed U.S. Rep. Summer Lee just officially launched her re-election campaign for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 12th district, and we couldn’t be more proud to stand by her again.

Justice Democrats has stood by Summer since Day 1 when she first ran for Congress in 2022. She ran a working-class, people-powered campaign to become the first Black Congresswoman in Pennsylvania despite the millions of dollars in attacks from corporate and Republican-funded SuperPACs.

AIPAC alone dumped more than $3 million into this race, spreading ugly lies in attack ads against Summer in both the primary and general elections. With your support, we had the vision and the people to overcome their smear tactics and to rock the political status quo last November.

But reports already indicate AIPAC is recruiting candidates to challenge Summer in 2024 and try to make her a one-term Congressmember. We can’t let them succeed.

Summer is a former state legislator and dedicated organizer, activist, and advocate for social justice who has already made a big impact during her first eight months in Congress, fighting for police reform, workers’ rights, a livable wage, and more.

Our progressive movement sent shockwaves to the system when we helped Summer win in one of the biggest progressive electoral victories to date. Now, we have to do it again to keep her in Congress next year.
