Bad News: Thanks to the Republican-controlled state legislature, we still don’t have a fair, representative map in Alabama.
Good News: A federal court struck down the state’s redistricting plan and appointed a special master to redraw our congressional map and create TWO majority-black districts!

Never did I think that 58 years after we fought to pass the Voting Rights Act of 1965, we would find ourselves mired in the same battle for the sacred right of all Americans to vote.
