LD38 Team: Murphy & Dems Failed Paramus Veterans Home

PARAMUS - Today, Micheline Attieh, Gail Horton, and Barry Wilkes, Candidates for New Jersey Legislative District 38, released the following statement in response to the results of the Department of Justice report outlining abuses at the state’s long-term care facilities, including Paramus Veterans Memorial Home, during COVID:

“Senator Lagana and Assemblymembers Swain and Tully should be ashamed of the findings of the latest DOJ report that characterizes the treatment of our veterans in the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home as ‘unconstitutional.’ They extended a blank check on Governor Murphy’s emergency powers during the pandemic, leading to the atrocious treatment of the brave men and women who served our country, along with the lockdowns of our schools and businesses. When we are in Trenton, we will never again let one man control the lives and livelihoods of so many without accountability and transparency.” - Micheline Attieh, Gail Horton, and Barry Wilkes, Candidates for Legislative District 38

Legislative District 38 includes Bergenfield, Fair Lawn, Glen Rock, Hasbrouck Heights, Little Ferry, Lodi, Maywood, Moonachie, New Milford, Oradell, Paramus, River Edge, Rochelle Park, Saddle Brook, South Hackensack, and Teterboro. The district was recently named by national Republicans as a targeted race in the upcoming November elections.
