The fight is here. Help us stop the EATS Act and defend our hard-won gains! ([link removed])

Friend,

Our fight to stop the EATS Act is happening now, and we need every animal advocate to speak out against this disastrous measure before it's too late.

The Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act could undo hard-won state-level protections for millions of animals, including egg-laying hens, veal calves, mother pigs, dogs in puppy mills, horses at risk of slaughter, and potential victims of wildlife trafficking.

Congress will soon be back in session, and they need to hear from you. Take action today and tell your legislators to reject the EATS Act! ([link removed])

There are multiple ways this insidious bill could become law. It could be included in the Farm Bill, or it could be added to another must-pass bill. Whichever way, passage of the EATS Act could spell doom for millions of animals who have only minimal protections to begin with.

The Farm Bill is a legislative package taken up by Congress every five years or so that covers a wide array of food and agricultural programs. We know even if we succeed in ensuring the EATS Act is not included as is in this year’s Farm Bill, our opponents won’t back down, and they will try to push it through another way. So it is imperative that your legislators know you do not support this bill or anything like it.

Friend, essential animal protections are under attack, but with your support, we can defend them—for the sake of farm animals, dogs in puppy mills, horses, wildlife under threat and so many others. Congress needs to hear from you right now: Tell your legislators that you oppose the EATS Act and any legislation like it—and urge them to defeat this bill in whatever form it takes. Thank you,
