Not only do undercover investigations expose the truth, they also get results.
* As a result of our investigation of Mason Dixon Farms, we were successfully able to get criminal prosecution and guilty pleas.
* As a result of our Martin Farms investigation, Nestle severed ties with the facility, and, when the local district attorney refused to prosecute for animal cruelty, we took the case to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, which directed the lower court to order the prosecutor to bring charges and confirmed that standard practice exemptions were not a blanket excuse for cruelty to animals in Pennsylvania law.
* After our investigation of Central Valley Meat, a slaughterhouse at which most of the animals sent there were “spent” dairy cows, and who supplied the USDA’s National School Lunch program and other federal food initiatives, the USDA temporarily shut down the facility, citing “egregious inhumane handling and treatment of livestock.” This investigation was reported on by several major media outlets including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, CNN, ABC World News, and Daily Mail.
