Justice Thomas has violated the very essence of impartiality and integrity–from overturning the right to abortion and gutting the Voting Rights Act to turning a blind eye to environmental degradation. The icing on the cake? He's been accepting lavish gifts from GOP donors, failing to disclose them, and refusing to recuse himself when those donors bring cases in front of the Court.

Don't let this man continue to disgrace the bench and our democratic values. Justice Thomas has shown time and again that he's not committed to the principles that should guide a Supreme Court Justice. The time to act is now. Demand that Clarence Thomas resign or be impeached.

For 30-plus years, Clarence Thomas has served on the U.S. Supreme Court where he helped overturn the right to abortion, eviscerated the Voting Rights Act, gutted environmental protections and turned on the flow of corporate money that would corrupt our electoral system.

During that time, he concealed decades of lavish trips paid for by several major GOP donors, including Harlan Crow. The billionaire also bought the home of Justice Thomas' elderly mother and covered a portion of private school tuition for the justice's great-nephew, who he was raising.

When this relationship became public, Thomas updated his legal disclosure forms. Ironically, he defended his decision to fly on Crow’s private jet for safety reasons: he was told to avoid commercial travel after a draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked. In other words, he used his personal relationship with a billionaire donor to evade public accountability.

Clarence Thomas knowingly and repeatedly refused to disclose gifts before the public outcry forced him to disclose the bare minimum. Many of these gifts were from people and companies that had or have cases before the court, and Thomas refused to recuse himself from those cases, benefiting his wealthy backers over justice.

But this goes way beyond undisclosed luxury yacht trips, private jet travel, and resort vacations from multiple billionaire megadonors. Justice Thomas' wife Ginni has advocated for the overthrow of the U.S. government while he continued to rule on Supreme Court cases directly related to the insurrection, including Donald Trump’s attempt to block the Jan. 6 committee from getting White House documents.

Clarence Thomas was confirmed to a lifetime Supreme Court seat in 1991 by a 52-48 vote in the U.S. Senate, after troubling allegations of sexual harassment. He never should have been confirmed, and his behavior in the past three decades has been unconscionable.
