Fellow Conservative,
You and I both know the effects of “Bidenomics.” We feel our bank accounts dwindle each time we fill up our gas tank or checkout at the grocery store. The skyrocketing inflation that we are experiencing is caused by the careless spending trend of Congress and the White House. With a national debt north of $32 trillion, the U.S. dollar does not stretch as far.
AND YET, right now Congress is debating another bloated spending deal to fund the government on October 1. Here’s why this matters:
- Joe Biden has weaponized the federal government. Our taxpayer dollars are funding the agencies and departments that consider conservatives to be criminals. Conservatives in Congress need to use “the power of the purse” to fight back.
- The border is still wide open. Why should the federal government get more of our money if it won’t even perform its core responsibilities, like defending the nation?
- Democrats want to keep the bloated Covid-era spending levels. The far-Left “never lets a good crisis go to waste” and Biden & Co. massively increased the size of government over the past 3 years. All pretense of a pandemic is over, but they are unwilling to return to past spending levels. Inflation will only increase if the government keeps printing and spending money.
Heritage Action has created a digital toolkit <[link removed]> for grassroots activists to engage with Members of Congress on this important spending fight. Our “Stop the Spend Trend” <[link removed]> toolkit contains:
- Background information about the current spending fight before Congress.
- An in-depth guide for understanding the government Appropriations process (and why it’s broken).
- Key policies conservatives should be advocating for in any spending bill.
- A suggested call script to use when calling your U.S. Representative and Senators
- Graphs, charts, and social media graphics (because a picture is worth 1,000 words).

After reading through the toolkit, be sure to call your representatives in Congress <[link removed]> and tell them to cut the spend trend.
Congress will not do the right thing without voters holding them accountable. The more people who call, the greater impact we will have, so be sure to forward this toolkit onto your friends.

Thank you for your engagement.
