It is with great thanks to you, our supporters, shareholders, and partners, that I share our 2023 Shareholder Impact Report. < [link removed] > This is our opportunity to recap results of the 2023proxy season and celebrate hard-won progress in reaching a shared goal: to help companies shift towards justice and sustainability for the benefit of all.
Here’s a snapshot of the 2023 report: 210 engagements with 169 companies. Of the 111 resolutions we filed, 51 were withdrawnafter the company agreed to terms. Of the 48 resolutions that went to a vote, 96% exceeded the SEC’s resubmission threshold.
The “ESG” issues you advocate for are not just political buzzwords. They are a variety of sustainable business practices that reduce material risk for all stakeholders. Shareholder advocacy, at its core, is about expressing new ideas and helping companies identify material risk and opportunities. You have the power to bring about a positive impact, and this year was no exception.
