Team, take a look at this headline I recently saw in The Guardian:
Climate change is heating up the world’s oceans and scientists have discovered emperor penguins’ futures are uncertain. With sea ice melting at unprecedented rates, the penguins’ colonies are disappearing and their breeding is failing.
It’s important to remember that the destruction of this species is all thanks to the fossil fuel industry. Ever since the Republican Party became the industry’s wholly-owned subsidiary, it’s been able to obstruct the paths to climate safety.
But it’s not just our wildlife facing the consequences. Climate disasters are erupting around the globe – historic rains in India and Vermont, deadly wildfires polluting our air in the United States and Canada, and hazardous heat waves – causing catastrophic damage to people, our infrastructure, and our economy.
