Big news in the Texas Senate campaign,
John: Another great Democrat has
just joined the race!

Texans have so many great options to choose from — each and every Democrat
in the running would be a massive improvement over our current part-time
senator. And the more people who get involved now, the bigger movement
we’ll have to Lose Cruz next November.

But while we wait for the primary to settle and for the Democratic
candidate for the general election to emerge, we’re planning a massive ad
campaign against Ted next year — and we need to raise money now in order
to be able to do it.

There are a few reasons raising this money now is so important:

* With 254 counties covering more than 268,000 square miles, Texas is
one of the biggest and most expensive states to campaign in.

* Getting our budget in place early allows us to better plan out our ad
campaigns for the general election.

* By locking in some ad buys now, we can get cheaper rates than if we
were to wait until the height of campaign season.

We’ve got some big plans for going after Ted next year, and we can’t wait
for you to see what we’ve got in store. But how much we’re ultimately able
to do depends entirely on what we’re able to raise between now and then!
