Join BJS in Celebrating 50 Years of the NCVS [ [link removed] ]*

Register now to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) with the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) on September 27, 2023. The morning session will be held in the Great Hall at the U.S. Department of Justice (950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC). The afternoon session will be in the Main Conference Room at the Bureau of Justice Statistics, Office of Justice Programs (810 Seventh Street, NW, Washington, DC). Both sessions will be livestreamed.

Panelists and speakers will include selected federal leaders, nationally recognized criminal justice researchers, practitioner leaders, and NCVS subject matter experts.?In addition, students selected through BJS?s Student Spotlight Opportunity will showcase their work using NCVS data.

Celebrating this milestone affirms BJS?s continuing commitment to providing reliable statistics on crime and victimization to inform policies and programs to combat crime, support victims, and reform and strengthen the criminal and juvenile justice systems.

In-person registration closes Friday, September 8, 2023, at 12 pm ET. Registration to attend via livestream closes on September 26, 2023. Register today and share this message with your colleagues!
