** We need your help to gain additional resources in the work to make homelessness in Anchorage rare, brief and one-time.
------------------------------------------------------------

What: Information Session on Proposition 13
When: Monday, March 2nd 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Where: Beluga Room, Loussac Library, 3600 Denali Street

As you may know, Proposition 13 will be on the April 2020 ballot. Estimated to raise $11 to $15 million a year, the funds are dedicated to support homeless services; substance use disorder treatment and prevention; mental health treatment; child abuse prevention, sexual assault and domestic violence prevention; and more police and first responders. This measure is different than 2019’s Proposition 9, in that it includes mandatory reporting of how funds are spent annually and requires that the revenues are spent only on the dedicated areas. Please take a look at the website for Prop 13 for more information: ABetterAnchorage.com.

We know how hard you all work to make homelessness rare, brief and one-time in our community every day and greatly value your opinions and questions as experts in this area. Please join us for this opportunity to ask the Proposition 13 sponsors questions and, if you are interested, find opportunities for you and your organizations to support voter education around Proposition 13.

Join us Monday, March 2^nd 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm for a presentation by Tiffany Hall, Executive Director at Recover Alaska and Trevor Storrs, Executive Director at Alaska Children’s Trust, to learn more about Proposition 13, ask questions, and get involved!

** ACEH is seeking a Coordinated Entry Manager!
------------------------------------------------------------
The Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness is hiring for a new Coordinated Entry (CE) Manager. The CE Manager serves as primary lead orchestrator and coordinator of efforts to implement and manage the ongoing operations of the Anchorage Coordinated Entry System (CES) for those who experience homelessness. The Anchorage CES seeks to streamline services within the Homeless Response System (HRS) for both those accessing and those providing services. CES is a community-wide, collaborative effort, led by ACEH/Anchorage Continuum of Care (CoC) as the coordinating entity for Anchorage. CES is designed and implemented to optimize the current network of homelessness services and housing resources by maximizing connectivity to resources. This is a management-level position. The CE Manager is not positioned to directly serve clients, but rather oversee staff who work at the client level.
