People keep asking me: “What are the odds Barbara can win?”
My response:
The odds that a young woman raised by a single-mother would graduate from Harvard Business School in the 1970’s were not good.
The odds that she would become an award-winning journalist, successful tech entrepreneur and founder of multiple empowering nonprofits were slim.
The odds that she would become San Diego’s Woman of the Year weren’t great either.
But every time, Barbara Bry has overcome the odds.
So, when she told me she was going to run for Mayor, even though the political establishment had already cleared the path for her opponent, I didn’t even worry about the odds.
Barbara is driving the narrative. Barbara is generating the enthusiasm.
And that’s why the odds are, Barbara is going to surprise a lot of people next week – but only if you pitch in with emails and calls to your friends and neighbors – and if you’re able, make a last-minute financial contribution to keep our television advertising on the air in time for TONIGHT’s fundraising deadline!
