The University of Maine Forest and Lumbra Hardwoods are hosting a Scaling/Wood Measurement Training on September 28 and 29. ?

Topics will include:


* Scalers Licensing Law and Wood Measurement Rules
* Basics of Wood Measurements
* Defects and Deductions
* Insects ID & Wood Quarantines
* Hands-on Log Scaling, Deduction and Decay
* Log Scaling & Lumber Grading at O&R Lumbra Hardwood Mill in Milo

Class size is limited to 25 and the registration fee is $100.
