[1]Real Justice
   John,
Let’s get one thing straight. Michael Bloomberg uplifted discriminatory
and racist policing policies during his time as mayor.
Policies like Stop & Frisk disproportionately targeted black and brown
boys, many teenagers and young adults.
And last week on the debate stage in Nevada, he tried to rewrite history
by saying he reduced the number of stops during the final years of his
   endless tenure.
   He lied.
The truth is the practice was halted only when Federal District Judge
Shira Scheindlin ruled it unconstitutional in a lawsuit brought against
the city by victims of the cruel policy. In fact, Michael Bloomberg pushed
and expanded the racist Stop & Frisk policy as mayor.
Prosecutors and judges are the first line of defense for the targets of
discriminatory policing. Prosecutors and the District Attorneys who
oversee them decide who to charge and what to charge.
We need more leaders in the criminal justice system who will stand up to
unjust policing, and that’s why Real Justice works to get more
   reform-driven legal leaders elected.

Reform-minded prosecutors like Kim Foxx in Cook County, IL understand the
racial disparities in the criminal justice system and will work to undo
the harm mass incarceration and unchecked policing has done to communities
of color. We also have a real shot at electing a progressive DA in Los
Angeles, California and transforming the largest jail system in the United
   States.
But we can’t do this work alone. We need you to ensure that we have the
grassroots support needed to win elections and continue bringing reform to
   communities across the country.
[ [link removed] ]Your gift today will directly support the work Real Justice PAC does
to elect real reformers like Kim Foxx in Chicago and George Gascón in Los
   Angeles.
We can end discriminatory policies like Stop & Frisk around the country,
but only if we work together.
   Let’s do this!
