John, Rep. Gloria Johnson of the Tennessee House of Representatives just announced that she is running for U.S. Senate against one of Trump's loyalists, Senator Marsha Blackburn.
An educator for nearly 30 years, Rep. Johnson ran for office in 2012 to see a change in her community. She came into the national spotlight following the Covenant School Shooting when she and her two colleagues - Representatives Jones and Pearson - led a protest against state and federal lawmakers who refused to take action on gun violence.
Rep. Johnson has also been a staunch advocate on issues like:
