Earlier last month I launched my campaign in AZ-08 to defeat Republican Debbi Lesko and flip our critical swing district. Since then, the positive response has been fantastic -- and very encouraging. I’m no career candidate so running for a Congressional seat is completely new to me. But, we both know that you don’t have to be a seasoned politician to see that Debbie Lesko is out of step with Arizonans in our district. I’m a firefighter with four generations of Arizonans in my family. My commitment to this district and this state is unwavering and I’m ready to go to Congress and get to work. But ahead of the first big fundraising deadline of this campaign, I’ve got to ask: do you have $10, $20, or something meaningful that you can contribute to my campaign and help us get off on the right foot? I wouldn’t trade my time as an Arizona firefighter for anything in the world. But because I’m not a career candidate or professional politician, I don’t have the deep donor network that my Republican opponent has. Instead, I’m relying on you.
