Sen. Jon Tester drinking beer

Cheers, folks! I wanted to make sure I caught you up on where our campaign stands before you log off for the day - and maybe even grab a beer for yourself after a busy afternoon!

You all know how much I hate asking for money, but this is serious: According to my team, we need a surge of donations to reach our midnight fundraising goal before tonight’s deadline.

Before I get into why this deadline is so important, can I count on you to chip in just $5 – the price of a beer (a Montana beer, folks, not one of those $12 D.C. beers), split between my campaign and Jacky Rosen’s –to help us reach our fundraising goal?

Our fundraising goal is critical to making sure we have the strongest fundraising numbers possible in our public FEC report we file at the end of the quarter.

Hitting this deadline also allows us to respond to incoming attacks from national Republicans and Mitch McConnell, who are determined to buy Montana’s Senate seat because they know that if they win in Montana, there’s almost no chance that Democrats hold the Senate majority.

The point is, we’re building a grassroots campaign that’s stronger than any of the Republicans' dark money groups. But that takes resources, and if we want to get ahead, I need you to chip in so we hit our midnight fundraising goal.

I’m counting on your help to set us up for success and ensure we have the resources to keep our momentum. Do you think you can split a donation between my campaign and Jacky Rosen's? The Senate majority depends on us winning here and in Nevada, so it really is important that we hit our goals.

Thanks, folks. Enjoy your week (and that beer if you’re feeling so inclined).

Jon
