Keeping our elections free and fair is essential to our democracy.
We’ve seen an alarming number of cases of National Republicans attacking our election integrity recently. This summer, the Supreme Court ruled on two states’ attempts at gerrymandering their congressional districts to dilute the votes of marginalized communities.
Just over two years ago, I voted for legislation to protect our freedom to vote and ensure equality at the ballot box. As your representative, I will always defend our individual rights and freedoms—and stand up for our democracy. But without control of the House, we know real action to protect our elections from these attacks aren’t going to become law.
Gerrymandering, voter suppression, disinformation, deep pocketed mega donors and corporations…. These are only a few of the tactics that extremists use to try and weaken the foundation of our country.
These attacks will not stop. Which is why we can’t stop fighting back.
