Syrian babies are being born into chaos. Here’s how we’re helping Syrian mothers this winter.

Dear John,
Imagine having to deliver your baby in a freezing refugee camp.

That's what's happening in Syria right now. In the midst of escalating chaos, Syrian mothers are giving birth in make-shift shelters and plummeting temperatures. Every day is a nightmare as they struggle to protect their newborns and keep them warm.

This is why - with the support of people like you - IRC teams are working around the clock to send out newborn baby kits to those most in need.

In places like Syria and countries around the world, IRC baby kits with blankets keep mothers and their new babies warm in the face of icy temperatures.

We also provide essentials like:
  • Diapers
  • Baby clothes with warm socks and hats
  • Soap, shampoo, petroleum jelly and baby powder
John, being a new parent is scary enough. The challenges these mothers are facing are unjust and incomprehensible.

Thank you for standing with Syrian mothers and displaced families around the world.

They are going to need your continued support to get through this - none of this work would be possible without the support of donors just like you. »

Sincerely,

Emily Sernaker
