Jackson County, Ohio Democrats mail out reminders to voters ahead of Issue 1 election

Rural Democrats are no longer settling for "the way things are." With support, training, and grants from Movement Labs, county party organizations are building power from the ground up and taking back their communities one local election at a time.

Democrats young and old are out walking in parades, hosting events to support local candidates, and having conversations with their friends and neighbors about what their community needs and how to get it. They're recruiting volunteers and new members to knock on doors, phone bank, and arrange carpools to get every single Democratic voter in their precinct to the polls on Election Day.

And the work is paying off.

Rural county parties are on the frontlines electing local candidates to school boards and county commissions and rejecting statewide anti-abortion initiatives like Issue 1 in Ohio, and ultimately, these folks will help bring home a presidential victory in critical battlegrounds like Ohio and Wisconsin next year.
