Dear John,
Believe it or not, I remember when traveling by airplane used to be enjoyable.
But now, it’s nothing short of a nightmare. Smaller seats, reduced leg space, and outrageous fees for such “extras” as being able to sit next to the people you’re traveling with!
What’s happened over the last few decades to make flying such a chore? Well it has a lot to do with a bigger problem in our economy -- the power that a select few companies hold over their industries that allows them to get away with treating us like garbage.
Check out today’s video to see how this worsening trend has come to wreck the flying experience, and what we can do about it! Then share the video with friends, and share your own horror stories in the comments.
Fewer choices leads to companies charging more for less and increased exploitation of workers. Meanwhile the airlines claim they have no choice but to raise fees and underpay workers. Yet they have enough money for giant CEO salaries and billions in stock buybacks.
The airlines are laughing all the way to the bank. Meanwhile, they’ve got us customers fighting against each other for overhead bin space.
But we don’t have to let the airlines get away with this. It’s up to us to see the bigger picture and support airline worker unions, increase antitrust enforcement, and make informed choices as consumers!
Thanks for watching and sharing today’s video!
And safe travels!
