We’re just a few hours away from our final FEC deadline, so I’ll try to keep this quick.

Around these deadlines, I send a few more emails and ask a bit more of you because I truly believe the way you build your campaign matters.

It all comes down to who gets to hold power in Washington. Our opponent funds his campaign primarily through his relationships with corporate interests and lobbyists. That’s just the way he’s always done it. And that culture is a big reason why our voices aren’t truly represented in Congress.

I’ve taken the opposite approach. More than 22,000 people have invested in this grassroots campaign, and our average contribution is just $41.

All of that adds up fast. We’re closing the fundraising gap with Dan Lipinski, and we just need one last push before tonight’s deadline to enter the final 20 days of this election on something close to a level playing field.
