Next Steps
Applications are not reviewed on a rolling basis - this is not an "apply early" situation. We recommend potential applicants and partners do the following:
-
Determine how on-site charging may benefit your organization and community.
-
Consult with your electric utility regarding your site’s readiness and capacity for the proposed project. If you do not own the property, consider drafting a site-host agreement.
-
Familiarize your organization with the state procurement process and permitting process.
-
Seek technical assistance: The 90-day application period ending Dec. 1 provides extra time to take advantage of free technical assistance provided by the Center for Sustainable Energy
Potential applicants should:
-
Create a ZoomGrants account: Applications are accepted only through the online ZoomGrants portal. Create an account in the Zoomgrants portal. The lead applicant will complete the application.
-
Download the Site Application: Next, the lead applicant will download the Site Application (Excel) from ZoomGrants. The application is designed to enter sites for the Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program.
