Friends -- Trump’s approval ratings are going up, and along with them are his chances of winning in November. This is a president who calls Nazis “very fine people,” who separates immigrant and refugee families, who puts children in cages.
The only thing stopping him right now is the House of Representatives, and it’s because -- with your help -- we elected the most diverse Congress in history in 2018 and finally held him accountable for his abuses of power.
Our ASPIRE team is working tirelessly to fight back, unseat the racists in Washington, and replace them with progressive candidates of color. We’re criss-crossing the country to increase minority turnout in key swing states. And we’re providing critical early support to progressive candidates of color who don’t have access to traditional (read: good ol’ boy) fundraising networks. The DCCC added two of our endorsed candidates, Hiral Tipirneni (AZ-06) and Gina Ortiz Jones (TX-23), to the Red to Blue program in recognition of the great work they’re doing to organize and build this grassroots movement.
But donations have slowed in February, and if we don’t hit our end-of-month goal, we’ll have to scale back on our efforts when we need to be ramping them up.
