Fellow Nashvillians, As we enter the homestretch of this important election for Nashville I was dismayed to read in today's paper about a 3rd party mailer lodged against District 11 Council Candidate Eric Patton. I spoke with Eric today and I join his opponent, Jeff Eslick, in condemning this mailer.
There is no place for hate to be lodged by campaigns or third party groups against individuals running for office using attacks on sexual orientation, race, religion or political affiliation.
The Alice Rolli for Nashville Mayor campaign condemns all candidate committees and PACs that focus on sowing such division - instead focusing on the real issues at hand in the election:
How do we move Nashville from 95th of all 95 counties in preparing our kids to graduate career, college or military ready?
How do we support our police and first responders to ensure our communities are safe?
How do we operate our city efficiently to ensure we don’t continue to raise taxes on long time residents?
Mailers that don’t stick to the issues and seek to divide our citizens should be halted.
Let's come together for our beloved city.

Safer Cities, Strong Police Did you know that Boston has about 3 officers per thousand residents? In Nashville we have about 2 officers per thousand residents. Alice is honored to have the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police and, unlike her opponent, believes that we need to expand our force to improve public safety.
