John,

For decades, far right conservatives worked to strike down Roe v. Wade , the landmark decision that guaranteed a constitutional right to abortion care. Last summer, the Supreme Court granted their wish and overturned it—and now the very real consequences are impossible to ignore.

While Republicans continue to push harmful anti-abortion rhetoric, reproductive rights are being stripped away state by state with the ultimate goal of banning abortion nationwide.

Senator Durbin and the Democratic majority in the Senate will keep working to defeat Republicans’ anti-choice agenda and codify the right to choose into federal law, but with so much on the line, they need to know that supporters like you are behind them in this fight. Add your name to Senator Durbin’s petition right now and help protect reproductive rights. [link removed]

Just a couple of weeks ago, Republican presidential candidates took the debate stage to boast about their anti-abortion agendas and compete for who could cater the most to the far-right.

Meanwhile, GOP-controlled states like South Carolina and Indiana are passing strict legislation banning nearly all abortion care, sending high-risk patients across state lines to safe havens including Illinois, which is now entirely surrounded by states enforcing restrictive abortion laws.

Ending Roe v. Wade wasn’t enough for the GOP. We need all hands on deck pushing back against the right-wing attempts to decimate access to abortion care even further. Will you sign Senator Durbin’s petition to show your support for reproductive rights? [link removed]

Thank you,

Team Durbin
