Canada issues travel warning for LGBTQ+ citizens visiting the U.S.

The Canadian government issued a travel advisory for LGBTQIA+ citizens visiting the U.S., warning them of the dangers and risks of the various discriminatory laws around the country.

BILL: Should we promote free school lunches? - Universal School Meals Program Act of 2023 - H.R.3204

This bill amends the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 and the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to make breakfasts and lunches free for all children. It revives one of the coronavirus pandemic era's most popular social experiments: universal free school meals.

France bans religious garment from schools

In August, France banned the abaya, a long Muslim robe for women, and the qamis, the male equivalent, from schools. The ban, which includes other religious garments, covers state-run schools and went into effect yesterday.

BILL: Should we protect small-scale farmers? - Fairness for Small-Scale Farmers and Ranchers Act - S.2670

The bill re-establishes an agricultural system that works for small farmers by halting mergers of big agriculture businesses. These mergers have negatively impacted the livelihood of small-scale farmers and ranchers.
