Jack, public safety is a matter of public health, and the current approach to public safety is not working.

What we have is a system focused on criminalization, surveillance, and brutality. What we lack are systems of care that are rooted in improving the well-being of all communities. What we need is an approach that is equitable, health-centered, and preventative to stop violence and harm before it occurs while ensuring that every community has what it needs to flourish.

That is why we’re uniting in support of the People’s Response Act (PRA).

You can join us by becoming a grassroots supporter of the People's Response Act today!

The PRA is an inclusive, holistic, and health-centered approach to public safety–the non-carceral approach. It will transform public safety into a system of care rather than criminalization.

When you go somewhere to get your needs met, you want to ensure that you have the most qualified and trained professionals there to assist. Public safety should be no different. This approach to public safety is critical to protecting our communities and ensuring that people who need support have adequate resources and aid available.

Help demonstrate broad support for non-carceral, health, and community-based approaches to public safety by signing on as a grassroots cosponsor of the People’s Response Act.
