News from Rep. Chip Roy

Dear Mr. xxxxxx,

I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:

No border security? No funding
Republicans should not fund the things they campaign against. The American people are sick of the border chaos, weaponization of Justice, wokeness in the military and radical agenda the Biden administration continues to fuel. Congress should not approve any more funding for a government at war with the people it represents.

It’s time for Republicans to saddle up and fight.

Fighting for law and order in TX-21
Last week, I called out Bexar County’s District Attorney, Joe Gonzales, for being soft on crime. Just recently, two of SAPD’s police officers were shot by a repeat criminal who was let out on bail by the DA’s office. Gonzales’ policies have failed to keep our officers and community safe. It’s time to hold him accountable and protect our local community.

Defunding wokeness in the military
Our military should be focused on defeating enemies and defending America – not wasting time discussing “non-violent masculinities” and other gender theory garbage.

That’s why I am calling to defund the Marine Corps University teaching woke propaganda. Our military should not be spending taxpayer dollars on anything that distracts from defending our nation. Congress must take action against this so that we can have a strong military.

Announcements and district updates:
109,000 Americans lost their lives to Fentanyl in 2022 – several from our own district. That’s why I hosted a roundtable discussion with Hays County Sheriff’s Office, Dripping Springs ISD and local angel parents to set a path forward on equipping our communities to address this crisis. Thank you to local law enforcement and TX-21 angel parents for raising awareness on this important issue!

Last week, I visited with the Austin Police Association, San Antonio Police Officers Association, Deputy Sheriffs Association of Bexar County and the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas to discuss how we can work together to make our communities a safer place to live.

I enjoyed hosting officials from Blanco and Gillespie counties to discuss water, growth and quality of life in the Hill Country. To maximize improving our communities, we must continue to work together from the local level all the way up to the federal.
