Attention TDCJ Volunteer

In response to a recent increase in inmate violence that appears to be directly related to the introduction and use of illegal narcotics, the Texas Department of Criminal is implementing a systemwide lockdown for the purpose of conducting comprehensive contraband searches at our correctional facilities. As facilities are cleared, they will return to normal operations. Please contact your unit chaplain prior to returning to the facility.
