The numbers speak for themselves. Since the start of this year alone:
35 Israelis have been killed in a wave of shooting, stabbing and car ramming terror attacks on Israel’s streets, incited by Iranian-backed terror groups like Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired 1,468 rockets at Israel, seeking to kill and injure as many Israelis as possible. Terrorists also fired 34 rockets from southern Lebanon, 6 rockets from Syria, and for the first time in at least 18 years terrorists also fired rockets from the West Bank.
Iran ramped up its aggression, investing as much as $7 billion to support terrorist proxies while testing ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads. In February, international nuclear inspectors discovered uranium particles enriched to 83.7% at Iran's Fordow facility, a purity level that has no legitimate civilian use.
As Israel’s enemies ramped up their aggression this past year, pro-Israel Americans like you worked to ensure the Jewish state had the resources and support it needed to keep its people safe.
This year, your support helped us work with Congress to pass nearly $4 billion in security and missile defense funding for our ally Israel.
You also helped us urge bipartisan majorities in Congress to send a clear message to Iran that there will be severe consequences if it further advances its nuclear program, as well as back Israel’s inclusion in the Visa Waiver Program.
But despite these great strides, Israel's enemies remain determined, and our work to keep Israel safe is far from over.
That is why I hope you will choose to join AIPAC today.
Thank You,
Brian Shankman
