FBI Lies About ‘Highly Credible’ Source Claims Were Leaked To NYT And Spoonfed To Weiss

• Emails obtained by the Heritage Foundation reveal that lies leaked to The New York Times about the origins of damning evidence implicating Hunter and Joe Biden in a bribery scandal were fed to Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss.
• The emails included an email thread revealing how the Times story landed in Weiss’s lap.
• Within two hours of the FBI’s National Press Office sharing the false narrative about evidence of Biden family corruption, the link had been forwarded to a variety of Baltimore FBI agents, from there to Weiss’s top deputies Lesley Wolf and Shawn Weede, and further on by Weede to fellow Assistant U.S. Attorney Shannon Hanson and Weiss.

Don’t Make Taxpayers Fund Smithsonian’s Marxist Latino Museum

• Congress should defund the new Smithsonian’s Museum of the American Latino which pushes a blatantly Marxist narrative about the experiences of Hispanics in America.
• House Republicans agreed with this sentiment. Last month, the House Appropriations committee cut funding for the museum for the next fiscal year, pointing out the exhibit’s many shortcomings, and especially how it portrays Hispanics as mere “victims of oppression.”
• This was an important step, but now the full Congress needs to follow through.

Latest Increase In Illegal Migrant Crossings Undercuts Biden Admin Claims Of Progress On Border Crisis

• The Biden administration has been pointing to a decrease in Southern border crossing in May and June as evident that the post-title 42 border policies are working. 
• But now, those numbers are surging back up
• The Washington Post reported this week that initial Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data shows 177,000 arrests by Border Patrol between ports of entry in August, up from 132,652 in July and 99,539 in June. 

• The Heritage Foundation has echoed calls to immediately pass H.R. 2 — the Secure the Border Act — by attaching the bill to any piece of legislation developed during ongoing government funding negotiations.
