New Hampshire's Republican majority hinges on one special election on September 19. If the Democratic candidate prevails, Democrats can strip away that GOP majority and force the chamber into an exact tie.
After Trump's many lawsuits in an attempt to overturn the 2020 election results, we learned how critical our state courts are in protecting our democracy from authoritarianism. The balance of Pennsylvania's highest court is in limbo which will be decided in the Nov. 7 race to fill a critical vacant seat.
Once again, legal abortion access is on the ballot this November—now in Ohio. Voters will have the chance to enshrine abortion rights in the Ohio state constitution.

Daily Kos is gearing up to mobilize volunteers from our community of grassroots activists to help turn out the vote using innovative tools and a wide variety of proven get out the vote methods. Our volunteers will be doing the important work of connecting with voters by writing letters and postcards to key voters, knocking on doors, signing up for phonebanking shifts and, just as important, training to become poll workers that will help navigate voting laws. This all costs us real money to run these programs.
