Poll workers are the beating heart of our democracy. They get to the polls the earliest and leave the latest, working long shifts and completing extensive training — all to ensure that our elections run smoothly. It’s often thankless work.

Here in Georgia, the municipal election cycle is in full swing. That means right now, Fair Fight is recruiting poll workers and loudly advocating for the resources they need to run accessible and safe elections as they dedicate their time to helping voters make their voices heard.

Protecting poll workers is all the more important right now, as last month, two Georgia poll workers testified about Donald Trump’s campaign’s efforts to harass and intimidate them during the 2020 election cycle. In the face of extremists’ attempts to subvert our elections and undermine the important job that poll workers do, Fair Fight remains committed to advocating for them — and defending them from issues that may arise.
