Where has Pierre Poilievre been this summer, friend?

This summer Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team have stood with 2SLGBTQI+ community at Pride celebrations across Canada. Pierre Poilievre was nowhere to be seen at any of them.

Pride is about the freedom to be who you are. The freedom to love who you choose.

We celebrated that freedom across Canada this summer, but Pierre Poilievre chose not to go to:


- Toronto Pride
- Vancouver Pride
- Montreal Pride
- Ottawa Pride
- Edmonton Pride
- Charlottetown Pride
- St. John’s Pride
- Calgary Pride
Pride was different this summer. Across Canada and around the world, we’re seeing more anti-2SLGBTQI+ threats and violence against transgender people than we have in years. Now is a time to stand up, and stand with the community. Now is a time for leaders to send a clear message that hate and bigotry have no place in Canada.

Leadership is about showing up for Canadians. Pierre isn’t showing up.

Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team have a proud record of standing up for 2SLGBTQI+ rights. We invest in 2SLGBTQI+ community service organizations. We banned the cruel and discredited practice of anti-2SLGBTQI+ conversion therapy. We delivered Canada’s first-ever Federal 2SLGBTQI+ Action Plan.

Because we believe everyone should be free to be who they are. Everyone should be free to love who they choose.





Let’s show Pierre Poilievre that 2SLGBTQI+ rights are not up for debate. That our freedom is not up for debate.
