The Supreme Court’s conservative majority has been recklessly ruling in favor of Trump and his policies. We've had enough. Sign our petition alongside Justice Sotomayor to make sure our message is heard loud and clear.
It is the duty of the Supreme Court to uphold the constitution, not hand out political favors to the Trump administration.
Last week, the Supreme Court voted to uphold the Trump Administration’s new rule restricting immigration for “low-income” individuals entering the country. This ruling blatantly promotes racial profiling and unfairly paints immigrants as a public burden.
All four of the court’s Democratic appointees vehemently opposed this ruling, but it still prevailed. In the midst of this distressing news, Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor expressed her concern that the Supreme Court is doing special favors for the Trump administration.
And it's true. The Trump administration has won a partial or full victory in about 65% of the cases where it asked the Supreme Court to temporarily block a lower court’s opinion.1
The Supreme Court’s conservative majority seems to be focused on protecting Trump and Trump only – and it’s unacceptable. They care more about bailing out the Trump administration than they do about careful deliberation that ensures the law is read properly.
The policies of this administration are founded in racist and hateful ideologies, and by allowing them to persist, the Court is not only violating their duties, but also hurting our communities and families.
