USD AND ICGF SYSTEM/FEDERATIONS ANNOUNCE VOLUNTARILY AGREEMENT IN PLACE
TO MERGE
Two System/Federations of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way
Employes Division have a voluntary agreement in place to merge.

The Unified System Division, which represents roughly 4,300 members on
Union Pacific, the DM&E subsidiary of Canadian Pacific and Amtrak,
along with several railroads mostly in the West, and the Illinois
Central & Gulf Federation, which represents approximately 1,100 members
on UP, CN, Kansas City Southern and Chicago's METRA commuter rail,
amongst other roads, plan to merge, according to BMWED Western Region
Vice President Louis Below.
