In a win for voting rights advocates everywhere, a federal judge just struck down portions of Texas’ 2021 omnibus voter suppression law for violating the Civil Rights Act.
Put simply, during the 2022 Elections, Republican elections administrators in Texas illegally threw out tens of thousands of ballots based on trivial errors unrelated to the voter’s eligibility.
