As we kick off the new legislative session in Congress and get down to the nitty-gritty again, I wanted to pause for a moment and say thank you.

After a slow start to fundraising this year, this grassroots movement answered our calls for help, stepped up, and helped us get back on track. Not only did you help us finally meet our fundraising projections in July, but you made sure that our August numbers were even stronger.

And the timing couldn’t be better. Now is not the time for our fundraising efforts to take a hit – not with our last end-of-quarter fundraising deadline approaching right before the election in Virginia (which is only about 2 months away)!

Our fingers are crossed that this momentum continues and we can carry it into a sweeping victory for Democrats in the General Assembly in November. But frankly, it’s not about luck. It’s about this team being willing to do whatever it takes to help Democrats protect all of the progress we’ve fought so hard for.

So I’m asking: Can you chip in $5 today to kick off September on the right foot and help us ride this momentum all the way to turning Virginia blue in November?

Our fundraising numbers go public at the end of the month, so it’s time to show the GOP what we’re made of.
