The debt ceiling bill (passed earlier this year) had some provisions to speed up the permitting process, but it didn’t increase our capacity for transmission or bring local communities into the process early on.

We made progress, but Congress has more to do.

Without permitting reform, 80% of the potential carbon pollution reductions from the Inflation Reduction Act will be lost.
