The power of our community was on full display this weekend as we celebrated 901 Day and the opening of Tom Lee Park. And as we gathered together in celebration of the Memphis we all believe in - the Memphis we all deserve - I was reminded of why this moment is so important for all of us. Because this is Memphis. And we need more of it.
What we experienced this weekend is the Memphis we should lean into - an equitable, vibrant, thriving Memphis. One where public and private investment comes together to deliver community spaces that elevate our resident and visitor experiences. A Memphis where our shared experiences in those spaces strengthen the bonds of our community. My professional background and personal experience [[link removed]] make me the only candidate ready on day one to start working toward that better Memphis.
Working together with you on this campaign has furthered my resolve to pursue the best for our city. Your support has shown me the real power of our community - our people. Together, we have created a city-wide coalition of believers .
So, let’s celebrate the recent big wins - Tom Lee Park, Foote Park, Crosstown Concourse, and the Liberty Park Sports and Events Center (TK what else). And cheer for those to come: a riverfront Brooks Museum, renovated Northside High School (Northside Square), Tillman Cove, the reimagined 100 N Main, the fully completed Historic Melrose, the Sterick Building, and many more. Let’s vote for continued progress toward the Memphis we deserve.
Let’s go!
