Tyson Foods on Friday created a supply chain center that consolidates the company's logistics, manufacturing and engineering operations "to drive data-focused decision-making through the expanded use of digital tools," said Chief Financial Officer John Tyson. Tyson Fresh Meats President Brady Stewart will lead the center, which is part of the company's effort to increase profitability as it faces challenges including higher costs, shifting demands and labor shortages.
Walmart is adding brand shops and fulfillment services for third-party sellers and expanding its marketplace to Chile in a bid for higher margin ecommerce sales. More than 1,500 people who sell products on Walmart's website are in Las Vegas for a summit highlighting the changes.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration recently posted a proposal that would allow it to modify the three-tier safety motor carrier fitness rating structure or develop a new method, with the possible inclusion of its Compliance, Safety, Accountability Safety Measurement System.
